Study visit “Stand together in solidarity” in Durres, Albania is NOW CHECK-IN!

Международен център за развитие на образованието и обучението търси 1 младеж за участие в посещение с учебна цел "Stand together in solidarity", финансиран по програмата Еразъм+. Посещението цели участниците да обменят опит в областта на доброволческите проекти по Европейския корпус за солидарност, като в програмата на проекта са включени и посещения на организации в Албания, изпращащи и приемащи доброволци.

Място на провеждане: Дуръс, Албания

Период на провеждане: 20 - 26 октомври 2019г.

Профил на участника: 1 участник, навършил 18 години. Няма горна граница за възрастта. Основният работен език на проекта е английски. Участниците е препоръчително да владеят езика на поне ниво Intermediate. В проекта ще вземат участие 2-ма участника от България, представляващи МЦРОО и още 2-ма от друга българска организация.

Участникът задължително трябва да има:

• най-малко 1 година опит в областта на доброволческите проекти (ESC/EVS);

• готовност за изпълнение на активна роля в проекта;

• възможност за споделяне на нова информация, умения, опит и контакти;

• интерес и мотивация за работа по темата за ECS и младежката работа като цяло;

• желание за създаване на нови ECS проекти в областта на програмата Еразъм +.

Молим да кандидатстват само тези, които отговарят на горепосочените критерии!

След като бъде одобрен от нас, участникът ще попълни още една апликационна форма за албанската организация, чрез която те ще преценят дали отговаря на критериите или не.

Всички разходи за настаняване и храна се поемат на 100% от организаторите на проекта, финансиран по програмата Еразъм+.

Лимитът за транспортни разходи е 275 евро, като участникът може да пътува със самолет, автобус или кола (за колата ако се съберат с другият участник и пътуват заедно).

Има такса за участие към организаторите в размер на 30 евро, която участникът ще заплати на място.

Процедура за кандидатстване:

1. Попълване на апликационна форма за участие, съдържаща основни данни на кандидата, съобразени със ЗЗЛД и Регламент (ЕС) 2016/679, както и основни и специфични насочващи въпроси относно неговата мотивация за участие, в срок до 22:00ч на 06.10.2019г.

2. Всички получени кандидатури за съответния проект биват раглеждани от Комисия по избор на участници към МЦРОО, която ще изпрати потвръждаващ одобрението на кандидата мейл в реално време. В тази връзка кандидатът носи отговорност в случай на пропускане на срока, посочен от Комисията за потвърждение на участието си в проекта.

3. Одобреният кандидат ще получи мейл за одобрение на кандидатурата му и последващите действия по заминаването му.

Критериите за избор са различни в зависимост от условията на организаторите на проекта. При кандидатстване за участие в проекта трябва да се наблегне най-вече на мотивацията за участие в него - усъвършенстване на меките умения, формиране на гражданска позиция, както и заявено ясно желание за трупане на международен опит, а не опозноване просто на града/държавата и запознаване с нови хора. Също така е важно да се наблегне на разпространението на резултатите от проекта - къде и как бихте могли да ги представите за да достигнат до по-голям брой хора. Препоръчваме на всички желаещи да се запознаят с ИНФОРМАЦИЯТА относно посещенията с учебна цел и да прочетат ИНФОПАКА на проекта.

10-month volunteering placement in Škofja Loka, Slovenia

Volunteering in special school and residential home for children at risk in Slovenia

In August the activities of ESC volunteering project named Kids in Action 6 started, which is 6th of its kind and it continues the well-established tradition of incorporating international volunteers in thelocal society. This year it involves 8 volunteers working in 11 local organizations from the field of education and social work.

One more volunteer can apply and that volunteer would be working mostly in Residential home for children at risk and  Primary school for children with special needs, but one day per week will be dedicated to getting to know also other organizations involved in the project (2 other primary schools, 5 daycare centers for children and youth, daycare center for people with manor mental problems, project learning for young adults).

What makes an active citizen?

Active citizenship associates with an active citizenry, having the authority to engage in flexible decision making as characterized from influential citizen participation which contains activities like voting, joining public hearings, being part of citizen boards and participating in public opinion analyses. Active citizenship means people getting involved in their local communities and democracy at all levels, from towns to cities to nationwide activity. Individuals that define themselves as active citizens have the belief that poverty, disease and famine are just as deadly and destructive as earthquakes, hurricanes and tsunamis. Active citizenship can be as small as a campaign to clean up your street or as big as educating young people about democratic values, skills and participation.

Active citizenship is one of the most important steps towards healthy societies especially in new democracies like Bulgaria. Youth are the core of the development process of each nation with holding the key of changing or continuing policies, but their contributions will not achieve full impact unless they are engaged in their nation as a whole. Furthermore, democracy does not only give certain rights to people, but it also suggests the “obligation” to appreciate the opinions of others. This was seen to be especially vital for youth, to teach them that they had to take account of the interests of others. Young people should be engaged to civic issues if the government allows them to do so.

The future of democracy is dependent on the possibility for the young to participate in the democratic process or, paraphrasing Kofi Annan, to include young people from birth. This is directly connected to the capacity of the education system to nurture young people who are aware of their rights and responsibilities as citizens, take action for social and environmental justice, hold their governments accountable and stand up for other people’s rights.

Young people might be active in their communities in many different ways. For example, some people choose to get involved in issues or causes that directly affect their lives at a local level, while others might want to do something to make a difference to a cause that has an impact globally. Lately, there has been a significant interest among young people to fight climate change. Further interests include campaigns against war crimes, discrimination and child labour. Thus, one of the most important ways for young people to become involved in the community life and become more politically active is to take action locally. In this way they will be better aware of the specific issues that have a direct impact at their personal growth and development. Participating in youth organizations, global networks and NGOs can be considered as a great option for young people to make a difference at local, national and international level. Demonstrations, strikes, and sit-ins are all ways that an active citizen might work toward the change he/she believes in. Famous activist organizations are: The Sierra Club, Amnesty International, Black Lives Matter, Professors without borders, etc.

• Volunteer

• Start a blog about local issues

• Participate in the community

• Stay informed about the world around you

• Protect the environment

• Respect the rights and property of others

• Take responsibility for your action

• Organize a community gathering

• Help people in need

• Have a good understanding of the government

To conclude, active citizenship is a combination of knowledge, attitude, skills and actions that aim to contribute to building and maintaining a democratic society. Active Citizenship supports democratic cooperation that is based on the acceptance of universal human rights and the rule of law, values diversity and includes the whole community.
