LIFE+ | The breathtaking "Outdoor Rocks"

This youth exchange took place between 16 - 27 July 2021 in Bălan, Romania – a beautiful mountain town with amazing views and interesting opportunities, related to hiking and climbing. The first two days the whole group did teamwork activities and get-to-know-each-other games. These were the days, in which we took our time to learn everyone’s names, age, country and other interesting things about the other participants. The sessions were long, but pleasant and everyone had a good time. The accommodation was very comfortable, and the food was delicious.

The next few days were dedicated to learning about climbing, climbing equipment, hiking, dangers of hiking, etc. We had different activities related to the topic. We learnt how to properly tie the rope before starting to climb, what to bring on a long hike, what to do if someone gets injured and got introduced to the equipment needed for our climb.

After the first few days and activities, we finally went on the hike. It was three/four hours long and it was exhausting, but no one was complaining, and everyone enjoyed themselves. The views on the way were breathtaking and the group’s atmosphere was very fun. When we finally got to the top, everyone was tired, but the view became even more beautiful and we got to have lunch on a green meadow, in front of a big mountain hut, breathing fresh air and having a great time. When everyone took a break and was ready, the climbing activity started. For a lot of people this was their first time climbing, but we had a lot of help from the professionals, and everything went smoothly.

We also had a free day, in which we visited a nearby town and got to talk to some scouts. They showed us pictures from previous adventures and told us interesting stories. After that, we had the whole day for ourselves and everyone did as they wished.

The next day was also dedicated to hiking and climbing. It was in the same place as before, but we still enjoyed it, because we got to climb again, and everyone was happy. Some people came solely because of the climbing, some just wanted to take the hiking route again, we were all free to choose what we wanted to do. Those who chose to climb had the help of the professionals again and everything was safe.

Finally, the last day came. That day we did some final work on our Youth pass certificates and played some saying-goodbye games. Everyone got to write a note to the others from the group and give them something to remember. The atmosphere was sad, because by that time everyone made friends and we didn’t want to leave the beautiful Bălan. In the afternoon, we didn’t have anything planned so everyone went on a walk and had a picnic. We met some locals, got to visit their house and tried some of their homemade drinks. In the evening it was the Farewell Party and the end of the project.

PARTICIPATE+ | YE Intercultural Understanding through Storytelling

YE "Intercultural Understanding through Storytelling" in Izvoru Muresului, Transylvania, ROMANIA is NOW CHECK-IN!

Международен център за развитие на образованието и обучението търси 6 младежи за участие в младежки обмен "Intercultural Understanding through Storytelling", финансиран по програмата Еразъм+. Проектът има за цел да помогне на участниците в него да опознаят своите култури чрез различните начини на разказване, както и на "storytelling"-a, разказване чрез истории.

Място на провеждане: Izvoru Muresului, Румъния

Период на провеждане: 10 - 21 август 2021г.

Профил на участниците: 5 младежи на възраст между 16 и 30 години, придружени от групов лидер, предварително подготвени от МЦРОО. Основният работен език на проекта е английски. Участниците е препоръчително да владеят езика на поне основно ниво.

В младежкия обмен ще вземат участие 40 младежи от 5 различни държави, а именно: България, Румъния, Естония, Северна Македония и Чешката Република.

Работната програма на проекта има някои специфични цели, а именно:

- създаване на безопасно неформално пространство за младежите, които да опознаят своите култури чрез разказване на истории;

- повишаване на осведомеността сред участниците и целевите групи за това как историите оформят реалността на лично и обществено ниво;

- развиване на творческа мисъл;

- др.

Настаняване:

Участниците ще бъдат настанени във вила "Vila Ursu".

Всички разходи за настаняване и храна се поемат на 100% от организаторите на проекта, финансиран по програмата Еразъм+.

След своето участие в проекта, всеки един участник ще получи Европейски сертификат „Youthpass”, утвърждаващ неговото участие и придобити умения и компетенции.

Участниците ще бъдат взети с автобус от София, нает от организаторите. Същият автобус ще ги върне обратно. За тези, които не са от София, може да бъде измислена междинна спирка в някой друг близък град.

COVID-19

Актуалните условия за влизане в страната могат да бъдат намерени в сайта на Министерство на външните работи: https://www.mfa.bg/bg/covid19map/Europe/romania. В момента в Румъния се влиза свободно без изискване за тестове или карантина!

За влизане обратно в България ще важи актуалната заповед на Министъра за конкретния месец. За момента се изисква сертификат за ваксина или бърз тест направен до 24 ч след влизане в страната. Сумата за бързия тест няма да бъде покрита от проекта, т.е. участниците сами трябва да покрият този разход.

Процедура за кандидатстване:

1. Попълване на апликационна форма за участие, съдържаща основни данни на кандидата, както и основни и специфични насочващи въпроси относно неговата мотивация за участие, в срок до 22:00ч на 07.08.2021 г.

2. Всички получени кандидатури за съответния проект биват раглеждани от организаторите на проекта, които ще изберат участниците. Те ще предоставят данните на избраните участници на МЦРОО, като екипът ни ще се свърже с всеки избран участник. В тази връзка кандидатите носят отговорност в случай на пропускане на срока, посочен от екипа ни за потвърждение на участието им в проекта.

3. Всички одобрени кандидати ще получат мейл за одобрение на кандидатурата им и последващите действия по заминаването им.

Критериите за избор са различни в зависимост от условията на организаторите на проекта. При кандидатстване за участие в проекта трябва да се наблегне най-вече на мотивацията за участие в него - усъвършенстване на меките умения, формиране на гражданска позиция, както и заявено ясно желание за трупане на международен опит, а не опозноване просто на града/държавата и запознаване с нови хора. Също така е важно да се наблегне на разпространението на резултатите от проекта - къде и как бихте могли да ги представите за да достигнат до по-голям брой хора. PEOPLE+ | "Community clean-up day" event at Pancharevo Lake

This day was an important day because the Begree+n team successfully completed the first event in the surroundings of Sofia. We met at the bridge of the Pancharevo lake dam at 11 am to start a busy day with a clear and defined mission: to clean a part of the lake and to be able to increase by our action the awareness of the environment and the preservation of natural places like this one.

Following the poster and the communication realized on Facebook groups reaching different audiences (expats, locals, students), we collected several enthusiastic reactions but due to the threatening weather, the number of participants was reduced.

However, it has been a great opportunity to strengthen our group in terms of teamwork and cooperation. We have worked in a synchronized way in order to be as fast as possible but without forgetting the most important part of the event: to achieve a noticeable change on this natural place and increase the awareness of the people who were passing by. Many people stopped and asked us what we do and why, and we hope that the next time they will enjoy the lake and will not throw the trash away but in the trash bins.

Our first intention was to make a tour of the lake or at least to cover a good part of it and to make a trash pickup on the way but on the shores of the lake around the dam, the place was so dirty that we concentrated our efforts on this precise place. In only 2 hours, thanks to our efforts and good coordination between all attendees, we were able to collect 20 bags of trash. Furthermore, we were surprised by the diversity of the waste and the size of certain bulky items, sometimes collecting large glass bottles, polystyrene sheets for example.

In addition, thanks to the creation of the Facebook page, we had also the pleasure to involve some locals, and for the next event we hope to be able to host more people. This has been a short but intense event because we have partially cleaned the dam of Pancharevo Lake and tried to inspire the youth. Thanks to the equipment furnished by ICDET, and to the good will of the team, we have been able to do a great job and, without a shadow of a doubt, we are ready to repeat this experience in another area of Sofia, and even in other places in Bulgaria, depending on the opportunities that arise.
