Hello everyone ! My name is Loïc. I am 25 years old and I come from France, more specifically from a region called Burgundy where wine and food has all its importance ! As you can see from this first opening, I am obsessed with food and it is really part of my culture and personality, therefore, I am very proud of it. But don't get me wrong, this is not my only interest in life. Curious by nature because of the education I received, I have at heart not to remain locked in a box but to always run after the discovery and the openness. From my interest in nature and what surrounds us, to my passion for certain arts such as cinema, to my need to understand current events and the why behind everything, I am a jack of all trades!

So when I started college out of high school, I needed to be immersed in an environment where people came from diverse backgrounds and the teachings opened me up to a broad future direction. So I took a degree in Applied Foreign Languages in Dijon, where you take professional courses in areas such as economics, communication with a focus on two languages at the same level, English and Italian. Personally, the more I discovered day by day, the more productive I became.

However, as a certain routine began, I met people who motivated me to go further in my desires. As a volunteer at Action contre la Faim in Dijon, an international solidarity NGO, we were a close-knit team with the desire to bring our open-mindedness to the benefit of society, and this took shape in the realization of charity events throughout the year. Then, Erasmus came naturally to me and I finished my degree by spending a year in Dublin, Ireland.

It is with this experience that I really found my way: being in a multicultural environment, changing from one language to another, discovering the specificity of each one through its culture and traveling through the country, this is what guided my university exchange. My professors were amazed at the motivation I brought to every class and even to some of the more menial tasks such as party planning, but this last thing stayed between us, that's a secret!

Currently in my first year of a Master's degree in European projects in the west of France, in Caen, I did my second semester in Erasmus in Sofia and I naturally decided to continue with an internship at ICDET. My interest for Europe and the projects it leads, developed through school experiences but also through encounters, encouraged me to turn towards the field of education and the work that the association leads on a daily basis. I want to improve my technical skills but also some soft skills and always manage to blossom in an environment where our cultural differences are a strength. Within ICDET, we are all different but each one of us becomes multiple, both in its role and our personalities, I told you, It’s all about openness!

VIE+W | Minority groups in Bulgaria

Last week I went to Svishtov, Veliko Tarnovo, Varna and Burgas. I met a lot of people from minority groups. Almost all of them talk about the same thing: poverty.

During a week-long trip to the north and east of Bulgaria, I saw that people from minority groups generally talk about the same things. They talk about their low wages and their financial difficulties. Apart from that, some Bulgarian people express their discomfort with them.

They do not want the assimilation campaign of the past to be repeated. The suffering of people in those years was so great that they do not want their children to see and experience such an environment. They said that after the communist era passed, they now live more comfortably and more free, but sometimes criticized by the Bulgarians. I would like to tell you about an incident that I personally experienced.

While we were being vaccinated at the hospital, the nurse told us why we are here, to leave the country, and said nothing to our Italian friends. It's really sad that things like this happen. Everyone can live in peace as long as no one bothers anyone. I saw that some stereotypes and prejudices continued in Bulgaria. However, I noticed that there is no such distinction between young people. With my experience, I can clearly say that racism decreases as the average age decreases. The person I interviewed in Svishtov was also advocating this. He said: “The important thing is to be human. Now everyone is looking their own way. I am guiding young people to live in a more peaceful society.

Whether they are Christians, Muslims, Bulgarians or Turks, as long as people sit down and try to understand each other.” These thoughts are really valuable and I think everyone should listen to these words. I think these ideas should be instilled in children at a young age in schools. Thus, a more peaceful society can be achieved in the future.

This person I interviewed also said that reading is really important, but because of poverty, many children can't afford to study. Children who do not receive a good education also acquire bad habits or tend to do harm. I think governments should support the educational life of every child. I hope things get better with education. In addition to this, I interviewed with the vice mayor who is from that minority group. He argued that minority groups should be involved in society and should be supported and said that otherwise they would live together and count in the same place without adding anything to them.

When I went to a neighborhood with Roma people, I saw people living in miserable conditions. I think these people should be educated as well. Because they have more than three children although their financial situation is not good. It doesn't make sense to take responsibility for so many children when they can't even take care of themselves. Apart from that, another thing I saw in the neighborhood was the old and bedridden couple. After the fire in the neighborhood, their houses were damaged and although the firefighters said they would help, no one helped. The people living there think that they cannot get help from anyone because they are gypsies and speak Turkish.

To sum up, I think the most important thing is to educate people. It is very important to do this starting from a young age. Because at a young age, it is much easier to put certain things in children’s heads. I also think that adults should be given lessons on issues such as sexuality and life and I hope in the future everything will become better and brighter.

YE "Effective Planning" in Mezőberény, Hungary is NOW CHECK-IN!

Международен център за развитие на образованието и обучението търси 12 младежи за участие в младежки обмен "Effective Planning", финансиран по програмата Еразъм+. Проектът има за цел да насърчи заетостта и социално-образователното и личностно развитие, както и участието в гражданския и социалния живот; в бързо променящия се свят, критично мислене и творчество. Главната цен е да бъде разгледан въпроса за безотговорното прекарване на времето в интернет и на цифровите устройства, като се докаже, че това време може да бъде прекарано по по-продуктивни начини, като например да участниците на научат нещо ново като кодирането.

Място на провеждане: Мезьоберен, Унгария

Период на провеждане: 31 юли - 10 август 2021г.

Профил на участниците: 10 младежи на възраст между 17 и 30 години, придружени от 2-ма групови лидери, навършили 18 год. без ограничение в горната възрастова граница, предварително подготвени от МЦРОО. Основният работен език на проекта е английски. Участниците е препоръчително да владеят езика на поне основно ниво.

В младежкия обмен ще вземат участие 62-ма младежи от 5 различни държави, а именно: България, Унгария, Румъния, Португалия и Литва.

Работната програма на проекта има някои специфични цели, а именно:

– Да се подобри отговорността и продуктивността по отношение на времето, прекарано с цифрови устройства, да се развият нови умения в цифровите медии за младите хора;

– Да се увеличат перспективите за кариерата на участниците и да се създаде контекст, в който да развиват уменията си, за да научат различни неща.

Всички разходи за настаняване и храна се поемат на 100% от организаторите на проекта, финансиран по програмата Еразъм+.

След своето участие в проекта, всеки един участник ще получи Европейски сертификат „Youthpass”, утвърждаващ неговото участие и придобити умения и компетенции.

Участниците трябва да пътуват от София до Будапеща и обратно. От Будапеща ще бъдат взети с автобус от организаторите, които ще ги отведат до мястото за настаняване. Транспортните разходи ще бъдат възстановени до 275 евро на човек. След приключване на проекта и изпращане на всички необходими транспортни документи, разходите за транспорта ще бъдат възстановени от организаторите на всеки един участник.

За влизане обратно в България ще важи актуалната заповед на Министъра за конкретния месец.

Процедура за кандидатстване:

1. Попълване на апликационна форма за участие, съдържаща основни данни на кандидата, както и основни и специфични насочващи въпроси относно неговата мотивация за участие, в срок до 22:00ч на 23.07.2021 г.

2. Всички получени кандидатури за съответния проект, биват раглеждани от Комисия по избор на участници към МЦРОО, която ще изпрати потвръждаващи одобрението на кандидата мейли в реално време. В тази връзка кандидатите носят отговорност в случай на пропускане на срока, посочен от Комисията за потвърждение на участието им в проекта.

3. Всички одобрени кандидати ще получат мейл за одобрение на кандидатурата им и последващите действия по заминаването им.

Критериите за избор са различни в зависимост от условията на организаторите на проекта. При кандидатстване за участие в проекта трябва да се наблегне най-вече на мотивацията за участие в него - усъвършенстване на меките умения, формиране на гражданска позиция, както и заявено ясно желание за трупане на международен опит, а не опозноване просто на града/държавата и запознаване с нови хора. Също така е важно да се наблегне на разпространението на резултатите от проекта - къде и как бихте могли да ги представите за да достигнат до по-голям брой хора. Препоръчваме на всички желаещи да се запознаят с ИНФОРМАЦИЯТА относно младежките обмени и да прочетат ИНФОПАКА на проекта.
