What is the Health card?

The EHIC or "Health card" enables EU citizens to access to necessary medical and dental care in 33 countries within Europe according to the legislation of the respective country of stay.

Who can apply for an EHIC?

All European citizens with uninterrupted health insurance entitlements are entitled to a European Health Card. The health entitlements are interrupted if you have more than three health insurance contributions unpaid. For those, who are under the age of 14, and those under 16 who do not have identity cards, a birth certificate and the identity card of one of the parents shall be provided.

Issuance of the EHIC:

There are no fees for applying for the card. You can apply at regional health offices at a permanent address, at a branch of DSK Bank or Allianz Bank, as well as in some bookstores in the country.

The application for a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) is filled out on the spot and the ID card must be presented.

The deadline for issuance is 30 days, but often the card can be received in 15 days. The data validity permit in Bulgaria is one calendar year in the general case.

What I need to consider before using the card?

• The EHIC can be used only if the disease is incidental;

• The interventions are free for me, if they are free for the citizens of the respective country;

• If I had to pay any procedure, I have the right to request that the Health Fund in Bulgaria reimburse the fee.

• The card can’t be used if the purpose of the trip is to treat a medical problem.

I lost my card and I need medical care. What should I do in this case?

In case that you lost your EHIC card, you should ask the local institution that originally issued your health card to fax or e-mail you a certificate to replace the card. In this way you will be health insured and entitled to appropriate medical assistance.

So, if you want to spend your travelling peacefully in case of emergency, make sure you have the European health insurance card with you!

PARTICIPATE+ | Training course in Braga, Portugal

Training course "Let them be heard" in Braga, Portugal is NOW CHECK-IN!

Международен център за развитие на образованието и обучението търси 3-ма участници за участие в тренировъчен курс "Let them be heard", финансиран по програмата Еразъм+. Проектът е насочен към тези, които желаят да придобият нови идеи и инструменти в работата с младежи, да разширят портфолиото си и комуникацията с други организации, както и според възможността им, да приложат пълноценно резултатите от проекта в своите организации (чрез организиране на нови дейности и предаване на нови умения на други членове на техните организации и извън тях). Тренировъчния курс е втора част на вече провелия се семинар по проекта през ноември 2019 г.

Място на провеждане: Брага, Португалия

Период на провеждане: 12 - 20 Февруари 2020 г.

Профил на участниците: 3-ма участници, навършили 18 годишна възраст (няма горна граница за участие). Идеалните кандидати са младежки работници, обучители, фасилитатори, ментори и координатори на проекти, които искат да задълбочат знанията си по темата за миграцията. Участниците трябва да имат задължително предишен опит с програмата Еразъм+!

Основният работен език на проекта е английски. Участниците е препоръчително да владеят езика на поне ниво Intermediate.

В тренировъчния курс ще вземат участие 27 младежки работници от 11 различни държави, а именно: Португалия, Полша, Испания, Италия, Гърция, Литва, България, Румъния, Хърватия, Унгария и Северна Македония.

Специфичните цели на проекта са:

- Обсъждане проблемите на младежта на местно ниво, обвързани с темата за миграцията;

- Различаване на термините имигрант, емигрант и бежанец;

- Обсъждане и определяне ролята на младежките НПО-та, както и споделяне на добри практики, които действат в различните държави;

- Използване на театъра като език и основа на младежки дейности, др.

Всички разходи за настаняване и храна се поемат на 100% от организаторите на проекта, финансиран по програмата Еразъм+.

Транспортните разходи ще бъдат възстановени до 360 евро на човек. След приключване на проекта и изпращане на всички необходими транспортни документи, разходите за транспорта ще бъдат възстановени от организаторите на всеки един участник. Екипът на МЦРОО ще помогне на участниците в избора на най-подходящи и изгодни самолетни билети.

Процедура за кандидатстване:

1. Попълване на апликационна форма за участие, съдържаща основни данни на кандидата, съобразени със ЗЗЛД и Регламент (ЕС) 2016/679, както и основни и специфични насочващи въпроси относно неговата мотивация за участие, в срок до 22:00ч на 09.01.2020 г.

2. Всички получени кандидатури за съответния проект биват раглеждани от Комисия по избор на участници към МЦРОО, която ще изпрати потвръждаващи одобрението на кандидата мейли в реално време. В тази връзка кандидатите носят отговорност в случай на пропускане на срока, посочен от Комисията, за потвърждение на участието им в проекта.

3. Всички одобрени кандидати ще получат мейл за одобрение на кандидатурата им и последващите действия по заминаването им.

Критериите за избор са различни в зависимост от условията на организаторите на проекта. При кандидатстване за участие в проекта трябва да се наблегне най-вече на мотивацията за участие в него - усъвършенстване на меките умения, формиране на гражданска позиция, както и заявено ясно желание за трупане на международен опит, а не опозноване просто на града/държавата и запознаване с нови хора. Също така е важно да се наблегне на разпространението на резултатите от проекта - къде и как бихте могли да ги представите за да достигнат до по-голям брой хора. LIFE+| KA2 Enhancing New Age Skills for Adults TC in Struga, North Macedonia

The training course of the KA2 project “Enhancing new age skills for adults” took place in Struga, North Macedonia between November 25th and 30th 2019. There were participants from Bulgaria, Macedonia, Spain and Portugal.

Monday was the Arrival day and on Tuesday we began our planned activities after breakfast. First we got to introduce ourselves to one another and get ready for the work ahead with some energizers. After that, Marija, our facilitator, began by introducing us to the main goal of the training course which was to find ways to promote life-long learning to adults and help them find easy ways to acquire new age skills required by the technologically advanced modern jobs. After lunch, Iliyan from Bulgaria, gave two presentations named “Basic Software Programs” and “Internet Usage and Concepts of Online Safety”.

On Wednesday we went around Struga, took some pictures on the beautiful bridges over the Drim River and had lunch at a traditional Macedonian restaurant. We ended the day with the Intercultural Night where each country presented part of their traditional cuisine (snacks and drinks included). After experiencing other cultures through our taste buds, it was time to include the rest of our bodies, hence, the dancing began. We shared some of our traditional dances and burned a bit of the calories from earlier that night.

The next morning, after breakfast we gathered in front of the hotel where a bus was waiting and took us to Ohrid. Once there, we went around and visited many of the churches and monasteries in the city, as well as Samuel’s Fortress, which is a major historical landmark for both Macedonian and Bulgarian people.

On Friday we began our work from the morning. After a couple more energizers and teambuilding exercises, we were divided into three working groups each consisting of participants from different countries. Our first task was to research and present information on the following topics: which are currently the most in-demand programming languages and why; what are some ways to learn a programming language; what can you do to make sure you stay safe online. Each group had the same topics but did their research on their own so that when presenting we could see different points of view and alternative solutions to the task on hand. In the afternoon we continued with another project. We were to create a novel product or service following two rules: the cost mustn’t be more than 20 euro, it must either support a social cause or make profit. We were also advised to think about a marketing strategy, our demographic target, and to think green in regards to production and packaging.

Overall this was a fantastic first experience with Erasmus+ for me. I made many new friends, acquired experiences in research and team building and I’m waiting for another opportunity to participate in this project.
