PEOPLE+ | How would the “Save our money” project help my education?

Currently I am a Finance student in the University of National and World Economy. Finance is not only administrative work. It requires logical thinking in order to know how to manage the resources or in other words – the money.

In some of our classes we have practice lessons, projects and so on, most of them are in order to learn strategies how to manage the money – of our clients and our own. It is important to know that the key to save money is not only to put an amount aside every month, but to know how to spend properly and what for. A simple way of thinking.

Having money put aside is like a monthly subscription. It is stressful as before your salary you start counting what you have to buy, how much it is going to cost you and the money you will be able to “save”. For me, it got easier when I learnt how to spend my money properly and have what I want without having to worry.

As one of the jobs I will be able to practice is “Financial adviser” either for a small or big business or even a private adviser, the project would be helpful as there are certain tactics that can be used for all type of clients.

In addition, I would say that the main way of thinking should be not how to spend less, but how to earn more.

USE+FUL | Non-formal education as an university degree

The education is power. It gives you many opportunities in your life and opens doors for you every day. The non-formal education does the same - it gives chances to everybody to study no matter how old you are, where you come from and where you want to be.

There are countries around the world where educational system is not developed enough to provide quality education for everybody. A lot of people are illiterate, and this creates difficulties for them. For sad, many children dream of going to school like normal kids. In such situations the non-formal education takes actions. Non-formal means that you don’t need a classroom with desks and chairs, whiteboard and a teacher in front to learn something new. In non-formal education you can learn from every member of the group, practice in real situations, learning by doing. It is community related, flexible, learner-centered, resource saving, lifelong. Non-formal education not only helps to “fill the gap” in formal education system, but teach you lessons that you can’t learn at school.

That’s way I decided to study “Non-formal education” and to work in the field of education. I believe that everyone deserves to be educated, to learn throughout his whole life so you can change the world around and make it better.

Non-formal education as university degree

Since the academic year 2008/2009 in the Faculty of Education in Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” a new B.A. program in Non-formal Education is opening. Sofia University is the only university in Bulgaria and one of the few in Europe to offer this degree to the students.

It is aimed to prepare higher educated personnel for the needs of the intensive developing extra curriculum and alternative educational services for children and adults, offered by specialized public, private and non-profit organizations outside the formal educational system. During their study students obtain general humanitarian, social and organizational competences, fundamental, specialized and practice-oriented trainings for educational work with children, youths and adults in non-formal, alternative educational field; complex preparation for working in a wide number of educational institutions for extra curriculum and continuing education, free time studies, consultation and mediation in searching and choosing educational services.

After mastering the basic skills and knowledge students, in accordance with their interests and professional plans, can determinate their own professional profile by choosing among following modules and sub-modules:

• Consultation and mediation in the field of non-formal education;

• Organization of educational services and activities;

• European educational network;

• Educational activities in the community.

Depending of their professional specialization graduate students acquire qualification respectively as lecturer, consultant and mediator in the area of non-formal education, or lecturer and administrator of educational services and activities. They can work as educational services administrators in public, private and non-government organization, experts in European educational institutions and networks for non-formal education, as self-employed consultants of vocational and educational orientation and career development, as adult education specialists, experts in the centers for continuing vocational training and qualification of educational staff etc.

As students we have the opportunities to participate in different projects, to collaborate with other universities and to share ideas with students from around the globe. We can participate in Erasmus+ mobility program for students where we can go to study abroad for one academic year and then to go back to your university.

Lastly I want to quote Nelson Mandela who says: Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world. So does the non-formal education.

PARTICIPATE+ | Seminar in Braga, Portugal

Seminar "Let them be heard" in Braga, Portugal is NOW CHECK-IN!

Международен център за развитие на образованието и обучението търси 2-ма участници за участие в семинар "Let them be heard", финансиран по програмата Еразъм+. Основната цел на този проект е да подготви младежките работници, лидери, фасилитатори, координатори на проекти, др. по темата за проблеми, свързани с имиграцията и така наречената "бежанска криза". Проектът ще се фокусира върху справянето на проблеми като ксенофобия, расизъм, насилие чрез изкуства и по-точно чрез театъра.

Място на провеждане: Брага, Португалия

Период на провеждане: 18 - 25 Ноември 2019 г.

Профил на участниците: 2-ма участници, навършили 18 годишна възраст (няма горна граница за участие). Идеалните кандидати са младежки работници, обучители, фасилитатори, ментори и координатори на проекти, които искат да задълбочат знанията си по темата за миграцията. Участниците трябва да имат задължително предишен опит с програмата Еразъм+! В периода 12 - 20 Февруари 2020 г. ще се проведе Тренинг курс, който е част от програмата и е препоръчително поне един от участниците в семинара, да вземат участие и в тренинг курса.

Основният работен език на проекта е английски. Участниците е препоръчително да владеят езика на поне ниво Intermediate.

В семинара ще вземат участие 27 младежки работници от 11 различни държави, а именно: Португалия, Полша, Испания, Италия, Гърция, Литва, България, Румъния, Хърватия, Унгария и Северна Македония.

Специфичните цели на проекта са:

- Обсъждане проблемите на младежта на местно ниво, обвързани с темата за миграцията;

- Различаване на термините имигрант, емигрант и бежанец;

- Обсъждане и определяне ролята на младежките НПО-та, както и споделяне на добри практики, които действат в различните държави;

- Използване на театъра като език и основа на младежки дейности, др.

Всички разходи за настаняване и храна се поемат на 100% от организаторите на проекта, финансиран по програмата Еразъм+.

Транспортните разходи ще бъдат възстановени до 360 евро на човек. След приключване на проекта и изпращане на всички необходими транспортни документи, разходите за транспорта ще бъдат възстановени от организаторите на всеки един участник. Екипът на МЦРОО ще помогне на участниците в избора на най-подходящи и изгодни самолетни билети.

Процедура за кандидатстване:

1. Попълване на апликационна форма за участие, съдържаща основни данни на кандидата, съобразени със ЗЗЛД и Регламент (ЕС) 2016/679, както и основни и специфични насочващи въпроси относно неговата мотивация за участие, в срок до 22:00ч на 27.10.2019г.

2. Всички получени кандидатури за съответния проект биват раглеждани от Комисия по избор на участници към МЦРОО, която ще изпрати потвръждаващи одобрението на кандидата мейли в реално време. В тази връзка кандидатите носят отговорност в случай на пропускане на срока, посочен от Комисията, за потвърждение на участието им в проекта.

3. Всички одобрени кандидати ще получат мейл за одобрение на кандидатурата им и последващите действия по заминаването им.

Критериите за избор са различни в зависимост от условията на организаторите на проекта. При кандидатстване за участие в проекта трябва да се наблегне най-вече на мотивацията за участие в него - усъвършенстване на меките умения, формиране на гражданска позиция, както и заявено ясно желание за трупане на международен опит, а не опозноване просто на града/държавата и запознаване с нови хора. Също така е важно да се наблегне на разпространението на резултатите от проекта - къде и как бихте могли да ги представите за да достигнат до по-голям брой хора.
