First of all let’s take a step back to the very end of previous week. Adriana, our EUgen intern, prepared, organized and facilitated and amazing training in Hotel Forum in Sofia. It was all about global education, so very useful and up-to-date topic. Thank you so much for giving us that amazing opportunity to widen our knowledge! Mauro have been recording the training leaded by Adriana.

Monday was the first day when we had a chance to work with our new colleague Oyku. She will be an intern in ICDET and we are all very happy to have you in our team, Oyku! Welcome on board!

We are not forgetting about the main topic of our EVS. Cameras and microphones are always with us, so you can expect some new publication very soon. First of all, we wanted to go further with Adriana’s event and try out our first online training. Everyone is very excited, so stay tuned and wait for the results! Mauro have chance to continue his video project about Zahari’s career in ICDET, thanks to the contribution of Nadia , he had chance to collect her memories about one last youth enchange, where Zahari has the role of Youth leader.

Personally, I was recording Polish language challenge. I want to say THANK YOU to all of you, who decided to take up that challenge with my crazy language! If somebody still wants to participate, please contact me.

Somehow, I saw the time is passing by from the beginning, from the first time I shot a video, from my first interview. Watching portal I can see its aspect, innovation. Anyone of us have put efforts to improve the portal, its quality in general starting from the section moving to the whole content. You can see now first ICDETv video in 4k. My hat’s off to Ewa for Plamen interview, for the plot and the final product, you can watch it on ExploreE+ Section. You will watch very soon other realities of volunteering in Bulgaria, in Sofia, in Burgas, so on and so on. Our trip in NGOs is just began.

As I said, I feel satisfied about improvements but I hope there will be moreover, I have chance to meet a professional journalist. Half way between a wonderful workshop and an inspirational meeting, Mrs Elena Cortel from Bulgarian National Radio share with me interesting advice and insights from the professional part of her job. This is just the beginning of a collaboration between a professionist and our media youth project.

About my personal project, I have to greet Mr Ivan Ivanov for personal advices and efforts. I have feeling to be in a right way. Ivan illustrated me strategies and tricks from his personal enterprise, I have a better view how to outline the things now. I hope to see personal results, in a not too distant future. For the moment I started to produce a video where I illustrate my personal project, once again I try to fight my camera fear, you will see sonly the results…

We as team we have chance to help Adriana in her personal project; she is realizing a short training for ICDET members about global education. It is a nice outcome from Youth of the World staff training from last May, we both fell to support her in the organizational part, we fell her a team member also. This training will also contribute to enrich once again our media portal.

And after the week of mid-term evaluation meeting, full of motivation, inspiration and a lot, really a lot of new contacts, we are turning back to our EVs usual business. The media portal is getting more concrete, with its new guise, thanks to Ivan and the contribution of our audience on the surveys we are getting better, we try every day.

About the contacts we raise during the meeting, you can see immediately the results. In the beginning of this week we have chance to meet Jorge, a EVS volunteer from Spain, he is currently during his EVS here in Sofia. He has a background in psychology studies, Ewa take chance to organize an interview with him where they talk about homesickness and other common situations would happen during any EVS. I have chance to enjoy this interview “from the other side”, I have my experience with a new camera the quality results are huger than before, and you can see them already published! I feel myself more and more comfortable in this side of the camera, but is our audience to decide which role will fit better to me.

Thanks to Zahari and his personal contacts I have chance to understand better direction of my personal project, soonly I can make the step forward to make it real. I will have the chance to try my small enterprise here in Bulgaria. According to some people, my project is very ambitious, but with right knowledge and some tricks given by experts, I hope it will be achievable.

The time of our EVS is flying away; you can see our media contributions every day. Other innovations will be announce soon, stay tuned!
